Buffalograss Backyard

This backyard in downtown Colorado Springs features buffalograss for a durable native grass turf that can withstand moderate traffic. This grass was installed from small plants called plugs and filled in completely within two growing seasons. This lawn grows well in full sun and needs about one half the water that a traditional Kentucky bluegrass lawn needs. This is a great option for a backyard that needs to withstand some traffic, but not use a lot of water.
