Powis Castle sage grows as a dense, dome-like mound of attractive feathery leaves. Its grey-green color and mounding habit make it a perfect companion plant for many other flowers and ornamental grasses. It looks great in flower beds.
Because it never flowers, it is truly a low-maintenance plant.
Powis Castle sage grows very well at the Xeriscape Garden. It is a good plant for sunny, dry locations.
It doesn't look very nice over the winter, so plant it amongst other landscape plants that have more winter interest.
Stems will die back part way over winter. Cut stems back to new growth in spring.
