Dart's gold ninebark is a medium-sized shrub grown for its chartreuse-colored leaves. It has white flower clusters that bloom in late spring. They mature into red berries that attract birds. The branches are long, arching and slender with peeling bark.
Dart's gold ninebark has performed moderately well at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. It hasn't been quite as vigorous or full as desired. The cultivars of ninebark with burgundy leaves seem to be much more vigorous in our location.
Prune out older stems periodically to keep the shrub attractive.
