Bonfire cushion spurge is a perennial flower grown for its burgundy leaves. The pretty leaves grow in a dome-like mound. In spring, tiny flowers bloom surrounded by vivid chartreuse bracts. It has an unusual color combination between the leaves and the flowers.
Bonfire cushion spurge has been a good perennial flower at the Xeriscape Garden. Its leaves were a great for adding color. Recently, it has been grazed a lot by rabbits.
Remove old growth in early spring before new growth starts.
